Within Oakland County, among individuals aged 15 years and older with income, there were 483.39 thousand men and 470.57 thousand women in the workforce. Among them, 292.71 thousand men were engaged in full-time, year-round employment, while 209,319 women were in full-time, year-round roles.
Analyzing the percentage of full-time, year-round workers to the total workforce reveals that among men, the proportion of full-time employment was 60.55%, whereas among women, the ratio was 44.48%. This indicates that a higher percentage of men were engaged in full-time, year-round roles compared to women.
The observed disparity may stem from various factors such as industry choices, societal expectations, or employment opportunities, revealing potential gender-based variations in employment trends within Oakland County.
