Within Idaho Falls, among individuals aged 15 years and older with income, there were 22,478 men and 21,585 women in the workforce. Among them, 12,753 men were engaged in full-time, year-round employment, while 8,345 women were in full-time, year-round roles.
Analyzing the percentage of full-time, year-round workers to the total workforce reveals that among men, the proportion of full-time employment was 56.74%, whereas among women, the ratio was 38.66%. This indicates that a higher percentage of men were engaged in full-time, year-round roles compared to women.
The observed disparity may stem from various factors such as industry choices, societal expectations, or employment opportunities, revealing potential gender-based variations in employment trends within Idaho Falls.
Parenthood, for instance, is one such factor influencing these trends. Women between 25 and 44 years old who are mothers are less inclined to participate in the workforce compared to women of the same age without children at home.
